The "See Americas Coasts" Tour
Being a flight attendant comes with a lot of flexibility. Depending on your seniority you can move your flight schedule around to account for appointments, vacations, etc, pretty much on a whim. For example, my mom was just here in Phoenix visiting for 5 days. I was able to move my schedule around to the point where I was off 7 days. Yep, a full week.
However, because of tight staffing at my airline and the need for all of us to fly 75 hours a month, with time off comes a lot of work. I’m returning to work on Tuesday to start, what I’m calling, my “See America’s Coasts” tour. I am flying 4 days, with 2 days off, then back on the road for 4 days. I’m going to be tired, I can feel it already. Here’s an idea of where I’ll be over a course of 10 days.
I live in Phoenix, so both trips will start/end here, because I’m a commuter. And, San Francisco (SFO) is my base city so all my flying for work starts there. But, I’ll also be stopping in Boston, New York, Washington DC, Los Angeles and Las Vegas along the way. It’s going to make for a lot of flying. In those 10 days, I’ll spend an average of 48 hours and 10 minutes in the air.
If you happen to be in any of these cities over the course of the next two weeks let me know! Maybe we can meet up! I loaded my travels for the next 2 weeks into Dopplr, a service which maps out trips. You can see where I am on a particular day, by checking back here. Under the “InFlight Entertainment” photostream on the right, you’ll see the Dopplr update of my location under the heading “Where’s Bobby?”
And as usual, look for updates “Live from the Line” while I’m at work.
Book a flight to one of the American cities you have always dreamed of visiting and check out cheap car hire usa. Travelling this way is ideal and you are more in control of what you visit and when. Read the fascinating articles by Bobby Laurie, a flight attendant.
