About the Blog

Bobby Laurie
I’ve been a flight attendant for the past five years and some of the people and things I’ve seen you wouldn’t believe. I’ve caught myself on various occasions re-telling my friends and family stories of what happens on the plane and at work only to think that they didn’t believe me.
It’s true, a lot of what I see and experience is too far fetched for some to imagine. So, in mid-2009 this blog was born. Using this website as my own personal journal and forum, I’m now able to provide my readers with a glimpse into the life of a flight attendant and my personal life as I travel across the world.
Because of my blogs successes in it’s first year and public interest to learn about the job of a flight attendant, in July 2010 my first book, Planely Speaking, was published. Planely Speaking is a book based on this blog which chronicles how I began my flying career, experiences and insight from 30,000 feet and a short section on getting hired as a flight attendant.
I hope you enjoy the stories and thoughts I post here. I dedicate a lot of time to updating the blog and ensuring that the content I post here is interesting and informative yet fun and refreshing.
Thank you for visiting.
