HotelRed: A Chic Boutique Hotel
My favorite airline to fly is Virgin America and if I were to design a hotel to go along with the airline it would be a lot like HotelRed. Super hip, yet very relaxed– I knew I had landed in the right place to enjoy my first ever trip to Madison, Wisconsin. This chic, ultra-modern boutique hotel is not in New York or Los Angeles it’s in Madison but I wish they did have properties in many of the larger cities I frequently travel to.
Spacious Style
From the lobby to the guest rooms, the hotel has a loft feel to it with its soaring ceilings and polished concrete floors. HotelRed’s branding is carried out attractively throughout the property in the colorful decor, taglines and signage and I could not help but appreciate the attention given to every last detail. One detail that really made my stay extraordinary was their treatment of my little 3LB Yorkie, Fergie. She was treated like a rock star!
A Cool Bistro
The Wise, is their lobby bistro that serves breakfast, lunch and dinner plus providing room service. Be sure not to miss their 3-2-1 Happy Hour and you’ve got to try their hand cut fries, meatloaf sliders and crab cakes!
HotelRed’s Rooms
My guest room was the Premier Studio-Suite; a sophisticated Manhattan style studio apartment even though it was at least twice the size of one. A full wet bar and a spacious sitting area, which opened up onto a terrace, would make anyone want to throw together an impromptu cocktail party. In fact, I did– how could I resist?
Amenities and more
The morning after had me feeling like I needed to work off some overindulgence. HotelRed offers complimentary access to nearby fitness facilities, which I prefer to what hotels are normally able to offer on-site. Madison’s bike and running trails are very close-by and the the hotel even offers complimentary use of bicycles from a bike rental establishment close by.
Pretty much anything I needed, the staff was able to provide it and they did so with a sincere smile which made my stay even better.
Did I mention that I want to move to Madison now?
