Wacky Wednesday: Higher Than The Plane

On June 8th,  29-year-old Lindsay Rae Anderson had flown from Anchorage to Portland on Alaska Airlines. After getting off the plane and heading to baggage claim, she told an airline representative that she had forgotten a small bag with cash under her seat.

What she didn’t mention was that the bag had $24,110 in cash and a small amount of heroin. Surprise!

Shockingly she was detained in the Portland International Airport and arrested.  She also told a Portland police officer the real purpose of her trip: to buy a large quantity of heroin and methamphetamine in Portland. So, naturally, the Police asked her to call her drug supplier and arrange a drug deal.

Police followed Lindsay to the local Ikea parking lot where they built more than just furniture, but rather a case against the both of them.
