The next time you’re in Los Angeles and looking for a quaint location for breakfast, lunch and/or brunch you should check out Breadbar which has two locations one on West 3rd Street and another in Century City.

The bar and cafe located on West 3^rd street just past Ceder Siani Medical Center has the unique capability to be either the perfect place to grab coffee and a pastry on your way to work in the morning, a place where you can sit and enjoy a beverage (like their amazing housemade lemonade) and a sandwich while you work on your computer inside at a table, or a place to meet friends for brunch while you dine on their outside patio.

My newly titled “Production Coordinator” and best friend Brad & I visited Breadbar, and we decided to sit outside. To our surprise, though located on a busy street across from a hospital, it was quiet and secluded. The ambiance that they created with the table layout and trees really made for a relaxed atmosphere.

The service we received was stellar, but the food stole the show. In an effort to get a true feel for what the Breadbar had to offer, Brad ordered breakfast and I ordered a lunch selection. Both of us were quite pleased.

Brad ordered the Croque Madame which is ham, emmenthal, and egg on Pan de Mie. And, for lunch, I ordered the Ahi Tuna Burger which was topped with cripsy onions, olives, wasabi mayo, and came with a side of sweet potato fries. Both of our meals looked and tasted amazingly fresh. The Ahi Tuna Burger (which is more like a sandwich) was a perfect size. It wasn’t too much, but also wasn’t too little that it left you hungry for more. The sweet potato fries, one of my weaknesses, were also cooked and prepared to perfection. Brad didn’t have a complaint about breakfast either, both of us completely cleaned our plates (well, boards).

The whole experience at Breadbar was fantastic. I encourage anyone in Los Angeles looking for a place to grab some good food to check it out.
