When you meet workmates, work is the easiest topic as you suffer the same pain, share the same environment, you can share stories without the need to explain the background, abbreviations etc., best occasion to steam off, too. Additionally, I think FAs (as well as the guys at the flightdeck) indeed have a very interesting job. As you are travelling, you probably have tons of encounters and impressions which need to be shared ;-) That’s very common, not only among FAs.
